Money Smart Week: Home

What is Money Smart Week?

Money Smart Week® is a public awareness campaign to promote financial literacy across all age groups. Launched in 2002 by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, the program is now active in more than 45 states, including West Virginia, with more than 3,000 events annually.  Businesses, financial institutions, schools, libraries, not-for-profits, government agencies and the media all come together during this week to stress the importance of financial literacy, inform consumers about where they can get help and provide free educational seminars and activities.
