Using Overdrive: About WVDELI

What is WVDELI?

WVDELIWVDELI (Digital Entertainment Library Initiative) is consortium of public libraries in West Virginia whose goal is to provide its library users with free and reliable access to electronic library materials. To see a list of participating libraries, click here.

WVDELI provides access to electronic materials through a company called Overdrive. Overdrive allows you to download audiobooks, ebooks, videos and music to use on your home computer or to transfer to a compatible mobile device.

You can check out and download the following types of digital materials using 

Adobe® PDF eBooks
Adobe® EPUB eBooks
Kindle eBooks
OverDrive WMA Audiobooks
OverDrive MP3 Audiobooks
OverDrive Music
OverDrive Video

To access these digital materials you need…

  • A valid library card from a participating library;
  • Internet access (preferably high speed) and/or a wireless connection;
  • A computer or device that meets the system requirements for the digital materials you want to check out;
  • Free software for your computer or compatible device.
