Marie Manilla Huntington, Cabell County

Marie Manilla, a Pushcart Prize nominee, lives in Huntington where she is visiting Writer-in-Residence at Marshall University. She is a graduate Marshall University and the Iowa Writers’ Workshop.

Her fiction has appeared in the Chicago Tribune as a Nelson Algren finalist; Prairie Schooner, where she received the Lawrence Foundation Award; Mississippi Review; Calyx Journal; The Portland Review; The Long Story; Kestrel; GSU Review; Yemassee Review, Echo Ink Review, and other journals.

Her collection of stories, Still Life with Plums, was nominated for the Weatherford Award and ForeWord Reviews Book of the Year in the short story category.
